About the Merger

October 31, 2022 will be last day to complete transactions at the BCCU branch located at 305 East Main Street. Beginning November 1, 2022, all branch transactions must be completed at the Frontwave branch located at 995 Armory Road or any of our other locations. Keep in mind, you can do many transactions, including check deposits, using the Frontwave Mobile App!
Absolutely! Both Boards are very excited about this partnership and the benefits it brings our Members and communities.
The name of our combined organization will be Frontwave Credit Union.
Frontwave President/CEO Bill Birnie will remain CEO of the combined organization.
No. The Barstow Community Credit Union team will become employees of Frontwave and continue to serve Members at the Frontwave Barstow branch after the merger.
Yes, of course! You will absolutely continue to receive the same personalized service you do today. In fact, we’ll have the resources to offer you even better service. The primary reason for our two non-profit cooperative credit unions to merge is to better serve our Member-owners.
No. The combined credit union will continue to serve all of the organizations, companies, and communities we currently serve. It will also provide credit union Membership opportunities to new communities and Members that we have been unable to serve in the past.
We have begun to integrate the operations of the two credit unions, and aim to complete the merger by November 1, 2022. Click here for a list of important dates to remember.

About My Account

No. A new Frontwave account will be opened for you, and the funds in your BCCU account will be transferred into that new account on November 1, 2022. If you would like to consolidate your accounts after November 1, 2022, simply swing by our branch or give our Merger Specialists a buzz at 760.430.6034.
Yes. Your accounts will remain safe, sound and federally insured through the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund, a U.S. Government Agency, just as they are today.
Yes, while your account number will change, we have taken steps to make it as easy as possible to remember.
Yes. Your joint owner and beneficiaries will remain the same as those listed on your BCCU account. To make any updates after November 1, please give us a buzz or swing by the branch.
Your current BCCU direct deposits will be automatically redirected to your Frontwave account on November 1, 2022. If you set up any new direct deposits after November 1, 2022, please be sure to use your new Frontwave account number and routing number 322274925.
Yes, you can continue to use your BCCU checks until December 31, 2023. If you’d like to order new
checks for your Frontwave account, swing by the branch or contact a Merger Specialist. We’ll be happy
to pay for your first set of Frontwave branded checks.
The last day you’ll be able to use your BCCU debit card is October 31, 2022. Starting October 17, 2022,
you can swing by the Frontwave branch to have your new Frontwave debit card instantly issued. If you
don’t have time to swing by before October 25, 2022, we’ll mail you one to the address we have on file.
Unfortunately, no. We are unable to import your Bill Payments.  We know if can be challenging to set them up again that’s why we have created this guide to make it as easy as possible.
Any payments made using your checking account number will be redirected to Frontwave beginning on November 1, 2022. Any payments currently set up using your BCCU debit card will need to be re-established once you receive your new Frontwave debit card.
All Frontwave Members are encouraged to use Online and Mobile Banking to help them manage their accounts. Starting October 17, you can register for online banking at https://ebanking.frontwavecu.com/Registration or by downloading the Frontwave Mobile App from the App Store or Google Play.

About My Loans

We are happy to provide copies of your previous Barstow Community Credit Union statements, check copies and tax documents.  You may send your request using our convenient Online Banking Secured Message Center, call our Member Solutions Center at 800.736.4500, or stop by the branch.
Continue to make your loan payments to Barstow Community Credit Union through October 31, 2022. Beginning on November 1, 2022, your loan payments should be mailed to the address below, or made in person at any Frontwave branch location. Payments can also be made within Online Banking. If you’d like to enroll in “auto” payments, please contact a Merger Specialist.

No. We have many great options for making loan payments, including automatic transfers, so we will not automatically issue loan coupon books. But if that’s your favorite way to pay, no problem! Send us a request via the Online Banking Secure Message Center, give us a buzz, or stop by the branch and we’ll hook you up.
