Frequently Asked Questions

No, it’s FREE! The person you send money to doesn’t have to pay a fee either, and receives full amount you send. Standard message and data rates may apply when using mobile device.
No, your payment will be made from your Frontwave checking account.
The first time you pay someone the funds will be removed immediately upon acceptance of the funds (if payment was initiated prior to 5:00 pm Pacific Time, or the next business day (if the contact accepted the funds after 5:00 pm Pacific Time). After that, the money will be removed immediately( if the payment was initiated prior to 5:00 pm Pacific Time), or the next business day (if they payment was sent after 5:00 pm Pacific Time).
The contact will receive a notification via email or text message to the address or mobile number you specified. The message will include payment information and a secure link to collect the funds. Before they can accept the money, they will have to answer a security question that you have set up on your side that only you and the contact know the answer to. This will protect you from having the payment accepted by someone you don't know, in case you entered their email or phone number incorrectly.

Once the contact has answered the security question, they can accept the money with their debit card (for real-time payment), or by entering their bank account routing and account numbers (for next-day ACH payment).
Some financial institutions may restrict people from using their debit cards to collect P2P funds. If this happens, the contact will be prompted to enter a different debit card number. Alternatively, they can provide their checking or savings account information.
If the contact chooses to collect the money via debit card, the money will be available to them immediately. Otherwise, the transaction will be processed via the Automated Clearing House (ACH) network, and the money will be available in 1 to 3 business days, depending on their financial institution’s process.
No. The best part about P2P payments is that you can send money to anyone using just their email address or mobile phone number!
It depends. If the payment has not yet been “Received” (claimed) by the person you sent it to, then yes, you can cancel it. But if the payment has already been claimed, you won’t be able to cancel or reverse it.
The contact has 7 days to collect the money. They will receive text and email reminders 3 days and 5 days after the money was sent. If the money is not collected in 7 days, you will be notified and the funds will be credited back to your account.
Yes, you can transfer up to $300.00 in one day, up to $750 total payments in one week, and up to $1,500 in total payments in one month. We may modify the amount and frequency of transfers at any time for security reasons or due to account activity.
Yes! Money is sent securely using just an email address or phone number. Plus, P2P is built into our Online & Mobile Banking platforms, which include many security features designed to protect your financial information.

Just remember - even though the connection is secure, you should never share your private Online/Mobile Banking login, password or security codes with anyone. Frontwave will NEVER call you to ask for this information! For more information about common phishing scams, visit this page >
