Person-to-Person (P2P) Payments
Person-to-Person (P2P) Payments are a digital alternative to cash and make sending and receiving money as easy as emailing and texting. Whether it’s repaying family and friends, paying allowance, splitting the check, or sending a birthday gift, P2P has you covered.

How to Add Contacts
- Login to your Online Banking account, click on “Transfer & Bill Pay” and then “Send Money.”
- Click or tap on the "Person" tab and the "Add Contact" button to start adding contacts.
- You’ll be asked to verify your identity using Multifactor Authentication (MFA) before proceeding.
- Make sure you have the following information for each contact you want to add:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Mobile number or email address of contact
- A security question that only you and the contact know the answer to.
- You can also select to receive alerts for when the payment has been sent and/or delivered, and choose how you would like to recieve the alerts (email or mobile associated with your online banking profile).
NOTE: For your security, you will be asked to verify your identity using MFA before adding the first contact. All contacts you add within the same session will not require additional verification.

How to Review, Change or Cancel a P2P Payment
NOTE: Only payments that are still pending can be modified in any way. Once the payment is in the "transaction history" the payment has been accepted by the recipient and cannot be cancelled or changed.- Login to your Online Banking account, click on “Transfer & Bill Pay” and then “Send Money.”
- Click on the "Activity" tab (top of the page on desktop, bottom of the page on mobile devices)
- On desktop devices, click on the the name of the recipient in the "Scheduled Transactions" list that you want to cancel or change and then click on the pencil icon locate in the top-right corner of the box to review, edit or cancel the payment.
- On mobile devices, click on the pencil icon next to the name of the recipient in the "Scheduled Transactions" list to review, edit, or cancel the payment.
- To edit a payment, click on the details you want to change, then click the "save changes" button.
- To cancel a payment, click on the "Delete Payment" button (for single payments") or "Delete All Payments" if you want to cancel all recurring payments to the recipient, then click to confirm and you're done!

How to Send a P2P Payment
- Login to your Online Banking account, click on “Transfer & Bill Pay” and then “Send Money.”
- From the "Person" tab select the "Pay" button next to the name of the person you wish to pay.
- Fill in the amount and date you want to send the payment. You can also add a message to let the recipient know what the payment is for.
- You can select "more payment options" to set up recurring payments and optional alerts for when the payment is sent and delivered.
- Click the the "Pay $X.XX" button at the bottom of the screen to confirm the payment.
That’s it – payment sent! The recipient will receive a notification at the email address or mobile phone number you provided with instructions on how to obtain their funds.

Frequently Asked Questions
Once the contact has answered the security question, they can accept the money with their debit card (for real-time payment), or by entering their bank account routing and account numbers (for next-day ACH payment).
