ELIGIBILITY

The Frontwave Visa® Summer Sweeps 2025 (“Sweepstakes”) is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. Residents of Alabama and Nebraska must be at least 19 years old; residents of Mississippi must be at least 21 years old.

To qualify for automatic entry, participants must be the primary accountholder of a Frontwave Classic, Platinum, or Rewards Visa® Credit Card in good standing (not closed, delinquent, or restricted) during the promotion and at the time of prize award.

Employees, officers, directors, and volunteers of Frontwave Credit Union (“Sponsor”) and their immediate household members are not eligible. This includes employees who are Frontwave Visa® Credit cardholders.

HOW TO ENTER

Automatic Entry via Eligible Frontwave Visa® Credit Card
Cardholders will receive one (1) entry for each eligible purchase of $20 or more made in the featured category during a Monthly Entry Period. There is no limit to the number of entries.

To qualify, transactions must:
• Be processed through the Visa® payment network
• Be dated within the applicable Monthly Entry Period
• Be made using an eligible Frontwave Visa® Credit Card

Debit card purchases do not qualify.

Non-qualifying transactions include: cash advances, ATM withdrawals, balance transfers, fees, or any disputed or fraudulent activity.

Cardholders that close their account during the promotional period will no longer qualify for automatic entry into the Summer Sweeps.

If selected as a winner, you’ll receive a prize equal to the total amount of eligible purchases made in the featured category during that Monthly Entry Period (including purchases under $20), up to $500.

Alternative Method of Entry (“AMOE”)
To enter without making a purchase, hand-print your full name, complete mailing address, email address, phone number, and the applicable Monthly Entry Period (“June Entry,” “July Entry,” or “August Entry”) on a 3" x 5" card. Insert the card into a #10 envelope affixed with proper postage and mail it via the United States Postal Service (USPS) to:

Limit one (1) entry per person, per day. Each envelope must be mailed separately. Bulk shipments, illegible, late, incomplete, or mechanically reproduced entries will not be accepted.

All entries—regardless of method—have an equal chance of winning. AMOE winners will receive a $500 check.

†  PRIZES

A total of 24 prizes will be awarded—eight (8) per Monthly Entry Period.

Each winner will receive a prize equal to the total value of their eligible purchases made in the featured category during the applicable Monthly Entry Period, up to $500.

• If the winner has an open and active Frontwave Visa® Credit Card account in good standing, the prize will be issued as a statement credit.
• If the account is over its credit limit, the credit will be applied to the balance.
• If the winner does not have an eligible card account at the time of issuance, the prize will be issued as a check.
• AMOE winners will receive a $500 check.

Limit one (1) prize per person per Monthly Entry Period. Participants may win more than once across different months, if eligible.

Total Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $12,000.

Winners are solely responsible for any federal, state, or local taxes. An IRS Form 1099 will be issued to any winner whose total prize value exceeds $600 from Frontwave promotions in a calendar year.

Prize Issuance Conditions
Sponsor may withhold, delay, or revoke a prize due to suspected fraud, ineligibility, rule violations, or other factors that could compromise the integrity or lawful administration of the Sweepstakes. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, delayed, misdirected, or undeliverable communications or payments due to incorrect information or account status. Other restrictions may apply.

PROMOTIONAL PERIOD AND CATEGORIES

The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time (PT) on June 1, 2025, and ends at 11:59 p.m. PT on August 31, 2025. It consists of three (3) separate Monthly Entry Periods. Each period features a specific spending category. Eligible purchases made during these timeframes may qualify for entries and prize reimbursement, as described in Section 2.

June Entry Period: From 12:00 a.m. PT on June 1 to 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2025

• Category: Grocery Stores and Supermarkets 
• Eligible MCCs: 
  • 5300 – Wholesale Clubs (e.g., Costco, Sam’s Club)
  • 5310 – Discount Stores (e.g., Walmart, Target)
  • 5411 – Grocery Stores/Supermarkets (e.g., Vons, Albertsons, Sprouts)

July Entry Period: From 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1 to 11:59 p.m. PT on July 31, 2025

• Category: Gas Stations 
• Eligible MCCs:
  • 5541 – Service Stations (e.g., Shell, Chevron – pay inside)
  • 5542 – Automated Fuel Dispensers (e.g., Arco, Costco Gas – at the pump)

August Entry Period: From 12:00 a.m. PT on August 1 to 11:59 p.m. PT on August 31, 2025

• Category: Back-to-School Retailers 
• Eligible MCCs: 
  • 5300 – Wholesale Clubs (e.g., Costco, Sam’s Club) o 5310 – Discount Stores (e.g., Walmart, Target) 
  • 5311 – Department Stores (e.g., Macy’s, Kohl’s)
  • 5641 – Children’s and Infants’ Wear Stores (e.g., Carter’s, The Children’s Place) 
  • 5651 – Family Clothing Stores (e.g., Old Navy, GAP, H&M) 
  • 5661 – Shoe Stores (e.g., Foot Locker, DSW) 
  • 5712 – Furniture & Home Furnishings Stores (e.g., IKEA, Ashley Furniture) 
  • 5732 – Electronics Stores (e.g., Best Buy, Apple Store) 
  • 5942 – Book Stores (e.g., Barnes & Noble, Amazon*) 
  • 5943 – Office/School Supply Stores (e.g., Staples, Office Depot)

Amazon purchases may qualify only if the transaction is categorized under an eligible MCC. Sponsor is not responsible for merchant coding decisions. 

MCC Note

MCCs (Merchant Category Codes) are assigned by the merchant’s payment processor and may vary based on location, purchase channel, or how the transaction is processed. Sponsor does not control merchant categorization and is not responsible for purchases that do not qualify due to inconsistent or inaccurate MCC classification.

Sponsor Authority

Eligibility of any transaction is at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. The Sponsor reserves the right to interpret these rules and make final decisions regarding qualifying transactions, eligibility, and prize issuance.

WINNER SELECTION & NOTIFICATION

Winners will be selected via random drawings conducted by the Sponsor or its agent following each Monthly Entry Period.

Winners will be notified via phone, email, or mail. Each winner may be required to complete and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability/Publicity Release, and/or IRS Form W-9. Failure to respond within five (5) business days may result in disqualification and an alternate winner being selected.

Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. All entry methods have an equal chance of winning.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Sweepstakes at any time if fraud, technical issues, or other factors compromise its integrity or feasibility, as determined in its sole discretion.

Any attempt to manipulate or undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes may result in disqualification and legal action.

Sponsor decisions are final and binding. Subject to change or cancellation at any time. Other restrictions may apply.

Visa U.S.A. Inc. and any listed merchants are not sponsors and are not affiliated with this promotion.

By participating, entrants release and hold harmless Frontwave Credit Union, Visa U.S.A. Inc., and their respective affiliates, employees, and agents from any liability related to participation or prize use.

Information collected in connection with this Sweepstakes will be used only for administration and by Sponsor’s Privacy Policy: www.frontwavecu.com/privacy-policy. 

DISPUTES / GOVERNING LAW

This Sweepstakes is governed by California law. All disputes shall be resolved individually (no class actions) and exclusively in the state or federal courts in San Diego County, California. Entrants agree to waive any right to claim ambiguity in these Official Rules.
