Yes. To qualify for the $600 offer, you must open both a Frontwave Checking and Frontwave Savings account during the same application.

Yes. Your online application includes everything needed to become a Frontwave Member and open your new accounts, subject to approval.

Most online applications take about 10 to 15 minutes. Before you begin, have the following ready:

  • A valid state-issued photo ID or passport (please do not use a military ID when applying online)
  • Your Social Security number or Tax Identification Number
  • Proof of your current address, such as a utility bill, cell phone bill, pay stub or other acceptable document
  • A way to fund your new account (external bank account, credit or debit card)

To verify your identity, you'll also be asked to:

  • Upload a photo of your ID
  • Take a quick photo of yourself
  • Upload proof of your current address

The first time you sign in to Frontwave Digital Banking, you'll be prompted to enroll in eStatements. Simply review the disclosure, check I Agree, and select Continue.

If you skip this step, you can enroll at any time by following the instructions below. Please note that eStatement enrollment is required to qualify for this promotional offer.

From a web browser:

  1. Select Manage Accounts, then eDocuments.
  2. On the Overview tab, select Subscribe.
  3. Review the disclosure, check I Agree, then select Subscribe again to confirm.

From the Frontwave Mobile App:

  1. Register for and sign in to the Frontwave Mobile App.
  2. Tap More, then Manage Accounts, then eDocuments.
  3. Tap Settings, then Subscribe.
  4. Review the disclosure, check I Agree, then tap Subscribe again to confirm.

1 PERSONAL NEW MEMBER OFFER: Important Information and Disclosures

How to qualify: To receive the $600 bonus, open new Frontwave Checking and Savings accounts on the same day (subject to approval). If you open your accounts in a branch or by phone, simply tell us "Eddie Sent Me." If you apply online, select "Eddie Sent Me" from the referral dropdown during the application. Within 90 days of account opening, enroll in eStatements, activate your Frontwave Visa® Debit Card, receive $1,000 or more in qualifying direct deposits or ACH credits during two consecutive calendar months, and set up automatic transfers of at least $25 to savings for two consecutive months. Internal transfers and person-to-person payments do not qualify as direct deposits.

How you get paid: The bonus will be deposited into your Frontwave Savings account within 120 days if the requirements are met and your accounts remain in good standing. 

Who’s eligible: Offer available to new Frontwave members age 18 or older who live, work, or attend school in San Diego, Riverside, Imperial or San Bernardino counties, or who qualify through a Select Employer Group (SEG) or military affiliation. Not available to employees, volunteers, or anyone who has had a Frontwave account closed within the past 18 months. Limit one bonus per person. 

Other important info: Offer is effective as of July 1, 2026, and may change or end without notice. A 1099-INT will be issued for tax reporting purposes. 

Heads up, gig workers: To qualify, your deposits must come through as standard direct deposit or ACH into your Frontwave bank account. Transfers from a debit card or wallet (like PayPal or DasherDirect) do not count.



2 BUSINESS NEW MEMBER OFFER: Important Information and Disclosures

Effective September 1, 2025. This offer is available to new Frontwave Credit Union Business Members who open both a Business Checking and Business Savings account with eStatements at the same time, with a combined opening deposit of $1,500 or more. The business must meet membership eligibility requirements and provide all required documentation. Limit one bonus per business entity.

This offer is not available to existing Business Members or to businesses that have closed any Frontwave Business account within the past 18 months. Frontwave employees, volunteers, and their immediate family members are not eligible to receive this offer for their own business. 

To qualify for the $350 bonus, the new Business Member must:

  • Open both a Business Checking and Business Savings account with eStatements at the same time and deposit $1,500 or more at opening;
  • Within the first 90 days, maintain a minimum daily collected balance of $1,500 in the Business Checking account for two consecutive full calendar months; and
  • Within the first 90 days, complete a minimum of 10 transactions per month in the Business Checking account for two consecutive full calendar months.

The $350 bonus will be deposited into the Business Savings account within 30 days of meeting all requirements. Bonus may be subject to tax and will be reported on IRS Form 1099-INT. 

Required documentation includes:

  • Valid Tax Identification Number (EIN or SSN for sole proprietors);
  • Current business license or fictitious business name filing;
  • Business formation documents (e.g., Articles of Incorporation, Partnership or Operating Agreement);
  • Government-issued photo ID for all owners, authorized signers, and beneficial owners (25% or more ownership).

Frontwave does not open accounts for businesses engaged in prohibited or high-risk activities. These include, but are not limited to: money service businesses (e.g., check cashing, currency exchange, digital/cryptocurrency exchanges), internet gambling or gaming, marijuana-related businesses (including ancillary services), payday lending, and pawnshops.
